Max Dale’s Celebrates A Summer To Remember
Fall is on its way to The Big House and we all know what that means. Summertime is coming to an end. Kids are back in school and soon the leaves will change color and we’ll be in the middle of harvest. It has been a good summer at Max Dale’s and we’ve truly enjoyed spending our summer in the Magic Skagit with our community.
This summer, for the second year in a row, Max Dale’s Steak & Chop House participated in the Blended Burger Project sponsored by the James Beard Foundation. We’d like to personally thank everyone from our community (and those who came from other parts of Washington and the US) who tried our blended burger.
Chef David’s amazing blended burger creation was delicious. Thank you to all who voted for it! We’ll update our Facebook page to reveal where Max Dale’s ranked in the nation with our special blended burger. Read more about the Blended Burger here.
We also loved engaging with our community during the weekly Friday Funday MD Koozie contest. Congratulations to all the winners who identified the correct spot where the Max Dale’s Koozie was hiding this summer. Enjoy your prizes and keep watching our Facebook page into the Fall and Winter. The MD Koozie will travel to more local and iconic spots. Who knows where it will show up next?
We’re also looking forward to hosting Ellen at The Big House this year. Ellen is our first ever winner of the Max Dale’s Prime Rib for a Year Contest. Here’s a shot of Ellen with her family enjoying a little Max Dale’s fun. Congrats again!
AND…Be sure to congratulate Chef Elmo when you see him around town too! We are so proud of all the work and contributions he has made to Max Dale’s and our local Mount Vernon community. Read more about Chef Elmo’s accomplishments here.
We’re sorry to see summer go. It’s truly one of the most beautiful places in the world to experience fun in the mountains, on the land and at sea. But we’re looking forward to the upcoming fall season and a bountiful Skagit harvest. Speaking of harvest, have you tried one of the new C.S.A. specials? They are made fresh at Max Dale’s with vegetables from local producer Hedlin’s Family Farms. Stop by each week into Fall to try these spectacular local flavors. Read more about our partnership here.
Goodbye, Summer. Hello, Fall.
See you soon at The Big House!
#Local is better.
