Celebrating 40 Years After The Fire
Local Landmark, Max Dale’s Steak & Chop House, Celebrates 40 Years After The Fire. Today Marks Grand Occasion.
Head Chef Creates New Dish Inspired By The Historic Fire.
Mount Vernon, WA – It’s been over forty years since the devastating fire that took down Max Dale’s Steak & Chop House. Today marks the grand reopening of the new building that occurred forty years ago.
In 1978, things were a bit different. Back when a Bloody Mary was $1.25, sirloin steak was $6.95 and prime rib set you back $6.95. One thing hasn’t changed since the grand reopening at Max Dale’s, and that’s the beef. The owners still use only the choicest of beef cuts around.
Head Chef, David Peterson, has something cooking for the celebration of 40 Years After the Fire. To commemorate the milestone he is creating a dinner special that will only be around this week. But the fun part is this: It’s a surprise!
“The celebratory dish will include a throwback to our deep history of offering the choicest cuts of sirloin.” He continued, “Look for a nod to the sea too.”
The dish will be offered all this week, while supplies last.
